PTA

Haviland Avenue PTA

The Haviland Avenue PTA was established in June 1980 and continues to provide opportunities for families to become involved in and support our school community.

Each school has a PTA that meets regularly throughout the school year and serves as an important link between school and home. The PTA provides families with opportunities to stay informed, connect with other parents and staff, and participate in activities and programs that enrich the school experience.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend PTA meetings, Back-to-School Night, and other school and PTA-sponsored events throughout the year. Membership and participation in PTA activities help strengthen the partnership between home and school and make our school community stronger.

Please take a look at the PTA Welcome Packet and visit the Haviland Avenue PTA website for more information about upcoming events, membership, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can get involved!

We look forward to having you be a part of our PTA community!

Mission of the PTA

Build a strong school community by bringing families, teachers, staff, and students together.

  • Support our students and educators by providing resources, programs, and enriching experiences.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every Haviland Hornet and Little Bee can learn, grow, and thrive.
  •  Strengthen family involvement by creating meaningful opportunities for parents and caregivers to volunteer and connect.
  • Make a lasting impact through fundraising and community partnerships that directly benefit our school.

The Objectives of the PTA

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.

To raise the standards of home life.

To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical mental, social and spiritual education.
